Another clip Id like to share

This is actually an old episode from BBC Comedy. I'm recently stark addicted in it.
It's far more beyond the stupidity you could've ever thought, or wished for...

The very important of the series are the Soundtracks and Slow-motion, which created a sense of humour, rather than only foolishness...

been seeing shorts and learning from them these days

Currently I have been writing my own script, still haven't got any clear things... Probably it is because I have too many versions of it. All I know is, I'm gonna make a short film that's instructive whilst entertaining and the theme is about time, how time goes, how people spend time, what are the consequences of wasting time or even saving too much time. Maybe what influences and alters the way people kill time.

I worked very hard these days and figured out some good ideas. I watched many short films on Youtube, most of which are british ones, don't ask me why, I just like them. I compared them in terms of their expressions, like the angle of the cameras, the Back Ground Music, the Mise-en-Scene etc. I unprecedentedly realised how huge the influence of forms on a film could be. Of course they're all very good and interesting, but after all I have to choose one as the form of my script. Because I'm not writing a long screenplay, as I said before, the presenting part is far more important than the content, though content is always important.

I'm not posting my draft here cuz it's really crappy so far. I have to think of them over and over again.

The Fundamentals of Our Studio

 •September 26, 2008 • No Comments (Edit)

1. Er… the fundamental of our studio is “to be free”, as I said before in the previous entry it is planned to be an open platform. As I go deeper into a field about, I don’t know, just a certain field that’s artistic, or attractive in a certain way, I feel that all of them overlap and are interactive with each other. Not only I feel so, but all the other designers or painters, architects, musicians, even cooks as well. At the very beginning I just got a slight inkling that everything I wanted to make out was so huge that I can’t handle alone. Why were they huge? Because I wanted to make them professional but I did not have a comprehensive knowledge of them, not even say to integrate them.

2. Briefly, anyone of us could be the producer of a project, with anyone else being able to be the associate producer. That’s depending on who starts the project and whose field is mostly related.

3. Regarding the process of how to compose a complete work, here is the suggestion from Daphne (Sigma…I don’t know which is the prefered name..):

Graphic¥modeling¥film¥or whatever multiple-dimension-way they’re, they are all ways of presentation…  I think design is about “having a personality and be presentable” at the same time…  so we can first work for the idea part and ignore the presentation part, which can be discussed  after we decide what our theme is…  forms of presentation I mean… whether mix them or form a series…
Synonymously, she is telling the relations between content and form of a presentation if I’ve not misunderstood her. However, as I read about the basic relationship between content and form in a film text book, they are so interconnected and affected by each other that they can’t be separately dealt with. Say, the form of an artwork (or anything else) changes the understandings of spectators though the content is fixed, which is the most basic theory about content and form. So, I think the idea part and the presentation part should be synchronized.

How about starting a studio?

How about starting a studio?

 •September 23, 2008 • No Comments (Edit)

Really, I’ve been thinking for 2 days, technically 2 nights, about starting an internet-based studio. Because I love doing things that are visible, hearable, or touchable, whatever, and..Er…I really like projecting, putting all my stunning brilliant fantastic ideas into verity. But more importantly, I’ve got many friends who are intersted in what I am, largely…The problem is, everyone is busy, cos we’re still students, have got to work on what those professors say, and now some and me are in Japan, the others are in China, or UK, and in different cities even though the same country. So, I’m forced to start a studio only online. I know its gonna be difficult, but is there any easy thing on the earth?

I’ve got contact with Realfish.Q and…no one else. But I do know SHB will absolutely join me only if I ask him to. And I’m still trying to find someone else who’d like to join me. Due to the limitation of our working flatform, what we’re gonna start with probably will be some sort of static graphic design.

I’m still considering how to run the studio, I mean, are we going to make profits, to what extent should our works be experimental, how to manage it….Oh, It’s getting huge, but I was aware it’s gonna be like this. Never give up, I have to do something, and make it something!
